About Us

When speaking about strengths, a lot of culinary artists talk about a specific dish they do the best. But when I talk about my strengths, I find it more to be along the lines of training others how to produce foods that are uniquely their own. My strength lies in taking someone who otherwise didn't have any professional cooking skills and get them to a place where they can prove themselves in a professional setting.
I have many goals for the students who attend Shepherds College. I want them to be able to hold a job for an extended period of time where they can make a wage that is livable for them. Being professional and doing the types of things that will help them flourish both in their working life as well as their spiritual walk is another hope of mine for them.
I love seeing the students complete significant milestones for themselves. I led a chapel service once where I discussed some deep topics with the students. A week later, one of them came up and asked me to further explain my topic because he had been thinking about what I had said. I was intrigued that not only was he listening but that he had been pondering the topic. This blessed me because in all my times ministering from the pulpit and to others, I have never quite had an experience like that. These experiences are why I feel so honored to work with the students at Shepherds College.
