A Clear Path

All along the way in life, God has placed me in contact with people who have various disabilities. I think He wanted me to work in this type of field from the very start. Doing this type of work, I learn a lot and it brings into focus the things in life that are truly important and really diminishes the influence of things that aren't.

A Gift Observed

At Shepherds College, I get to watch these students develop. I enjoy seeing them grow in their personal, emotional, and spiritual lives as well as gaining a deeper grasp of scripture. Student comprehension, social development skills and understanding progress over their time here, and having the gift of seeing these shifts in the students is life changing.

Based in Love and a Pure Heart

My favorite part of the Bible is when Paul says to Timothy: "But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a secure faith." (1 Tim. 1:5) This verse sums up what my life and teaching strives to be about, and it is a reminder of what we at Shepherds College need to focus on.
