I Love to Admit It

Helping people learn new skills and watching them do more than they ever thought possible is why I was so determined to be here at Shepherds College. My job isn't just to accept people into our program, but also to make that process more comfortable for the families as well as the students. My previous work with Shepherds Ministries has prepared me well for this role.

College Students Are College Students

The students here are awesome. They come here and learn that they can do anything they set their minds to, and aren't afraid to ask for help along the way. I always tell students to take on projects, opportunities, and obstacles with confidence. We'll reach their goals together.

If I were to give advice to anyone who is considering working with students who have disabilities, I would tell them that college students are college students. Just because a student has a disability doesn't mean they don't have dreams, strengths and attributes that can be expanded.

After Move-In, We Really Moved Out

The best day I've had here was move-in day in 2008. It was great watching the dream of Shepherds College become reality! It was a wonderful day and just the beginning of the powerful work.
